Inter Milan midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu is edging ever closer to joining Super Lig runners-up Fenerbahce.
According to TRT Sport via FCInterNews, the Turkish giants have accelerated their pursuit of the 31-year-old.
Unfazed by Galatasaray’s failed attempt to sign Hakan Calhanoglu, Fenerbahce seem determined to succeed.
Indeed, the Canaries have taken an aggressive approach as they look to close the deal on short notice.
Furthermore, Fenerbahce president Ali Koc will soon hold new talks with the San Siro chiefs.
The Turks have already inquired about the former AC Milan star.
However, they’re ready to take negotiations to the next level and pitch Inter with a tangible offer.
It’s no secret that the Nerazzurri will not sell their midfield stalwart for less than €35 million.
But Jose Mourinho hopes to get a discount, which would see the deal closed at around €25m.
Meanwhile, Fenerbahce will offer the player a €6m-per-season wage and the captain’s armband.
On the other hand, Inter can already start preparing for life after Calhanoglu.
