Galatasaray vice-president Abdullah Kavukcu has arrived in Milan to discuss the transfer of Inter star Hakan Calhanoglu.
Per Sky Sport via FCInterNews, the Turkish giants have decided to accelerate their long-standing interest in the 31-year-old.
Calhanoglu’s story has been among the major talking points this summer.
Indeed, the Turkey captain has set his heart on joining the Istanbul outfit despite Inter’s reluctance to sell.
However, the player’s wish has changed Nerazzurri’s mind.
As such, they’re willing to listen to offers for the ex-AC Milan midfielder.
Though negotiations have yet to start, this is a statement of intent.
Inter’s deadline has forced Galatasaray’s hand, yet they have yet to present the Nerazzurri with a tangible offer.
Meanwhile, Inter’s stance is clear. They won’t let Hakan Calhanoglu leave for less than €25 million.
On the other hand, many reports suggest Galatasaray won’t go beyond €15m, hence the skepticism surrounding the deal.
Given Inter’s interest in Atalanta ace Ederson, a discount is an unlikely option.
