Genoa coach Patrick Vieira has become the leading candidate to succeed Simone Inzaghi at Inter Milan.

Per Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInter1908, the Frenchman has leapfrogged Cristian Chivu on Inter’s list of targets.

Indeed, the Romanian tactician is on the cusp of penning a contract extension at Parma.

The official announcement may arrive tomorrow. Therefore, he is no longer a viable solution for the Nerazzurri.

On the other hand, Cesc Fabregas has already rejected Inter’s approach.
