Inter Milan starlet Valentin Carboni is reportedly on the cusp of joining Genoa on a season-long loan without an option to buy.
Per reputed journalist Matteo Moretto via FCInterNews, the Argentine is ‘one step away’ from signing for the Griffins.
Valentin Carboni spent the first half of last season on loan at Olympique Marseille.
However, a long-term injury forced his premature return to San Siro.
Despite featuring for Inter at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, the 20-year-old is on his way out.
According to the report, talks between the clubs are in advanced stages.
Furthermore, the final agreement could arrive in the coming days, with Carboni already packing his bags.
Aware of the Argentine’s potential, Inter will not allow Genoa to include a buyout clause in the deal.
Therefore, Carboni will return to base at the end of next season.
Meanwhile, the current agreement includes several performance-related bonuses.
Carboni could soon put pen to paper on a short-term contract, with Mehdi Taremi and Sebastiano Esposito set to follow.
