Premier League champions Liverpool have reportedly overtaken Inter Milan in the race to sign Parma defender Giovanni Leoni.

According to Sportitalia via FCInter1908, the Italian giants are reluctant to admit defeat as they rely on two crucial factors.

The future of Giovanni Leoni has been among the major talking points this season.

Indeed, the youngster has drawn interest from numerous clubs in Serie A and abroad.

From Inter to Liverpool, a host of top clubs are keen to recruit the 18-year-old.
