Inter Milan are reportedly “considering a shock return” for out-of-favour Man United goalkeeper Andre Onana.

This according to UK tabloid The Sun, via FCInterNews.

Inter Milan sold goalkeeper Andre Onana to Manchester United in the summer of 2023.

The Cameroonian had only signed for the Nerazzurri one year older. He did so on a free transfer after his contract with Ajax had expired.

However, Inter sold Onana for a massive profit. The Red Devils paid a fee of more than €50 million.

However, things have not quite worked out for Onana at Old Trafford.

The 29-year-old has failed to reproduce his form from his single season at Inter, with whom he reached the Champions League final, in either of his two seasons in a United shirt.

Inter “Considering A Shock Return” For Andre Onana

Onana was not part of United’s squad for their Premier League opener against Arsenal this weekend.

United coach Ruben Amorim insisted that the reason for this absence was injury-related.

However, there remains a sense that Onana does not have the trust of Amorim.

Therefore, there have been strong transfer links away for Onana all summer long.

And according to UK tabloid The Sun, the Cameroonian’s former club Inter are “considering a shock return” to sign the goalkeeper they sold in 2023.
