Inter Milan reportedly passed on an opportunity to sign Fenerbahce midfielder Sofyan Amrabat during the summer transfer window.

According to Matteo Moretto via FCInter1908, Amrabat’s agents offered his services to Inter and Juventus during the summer.

Despite signing a permanent contract with Fenerbahce at the end of last season, Amrabat was immediately keen to leave Istanbul.

Indeed, his representatives were scouring the market for opportunities, seeking a new club for their client.

Inter Milan Declined Chance to Sign Fenerbahce Owned Sofyan Amrabat

Sofyan Amrabat swapped Fiorentina for Fenerbahce last summer, joining the Turks on a season-long loan.

However, nostalgia hit hard in the summer as his entourage tried to engineer his return to Serie A.

Therefore, they approached Inter and Juventus to explore the possibility of a swift comeback to Italian football.

Yet, the Nerazzurri had no interest in the 29-year-old, who would go on to join Real Betis on loan on deadline day.

On the other hand, Inter purchased Andy Diouf from Lens to bolster their midfield options late in the transfer window.
