Inter Milan flop Mehdi Taremi is on the verge of leaving San Siro, with Besiktas in pole position to acquire his signature.

According to Turkish outlet Fanatik via FCInterNews, they’re the favorites to sign the 33-year-old striker.

Beppe Marotta was confident he pulled off another masterstroke when Inter landed Mehdi Taremi last season.

Furthermore, they didn’t have to pay a dime for the transfer as he was out of contract at Porto.

However, nothing has gone the Iranian’s way in Serie A.

Besiktas Lead Race for Inter Milan Outcast Mehdi Taremi

After only scoring once in 26 league appearances, Taremi is ready to wave goodbye to San Siro.

Despite his disappointing spell in Italy, the veteran striker still has plenty of suitors across Europe.

Indeed, Nottingham Forest and Fulham are reportedly keen to take him to the Premier League.

However, Taremi’s future could be in Turkey.

Besiktas are one step away from signing Tammy Abraham from Roma, but it won’t affect their interest in Taremi.

On the contrary, the club president has already approved the move.
