Inter Milan castaway Tajon Buchanan reportedly has no intention of signing for Serie A newcomers Sassuolo.

According to Tuttosport via FCInterNews, the Canadian wingback has found the destination unattractive.

Tajon Buchanan spent the second half of last season on loan at Villarreal.

However, after failing to impress at La Ceramica, the Yellow Submarine decided against activating a €13 million buyout clause.

Nonetheless, the Spanish club is once again interested in bringing the 26-year-old to La Liga.

Inter Milan Flop Tajon Buchanan Not Interested in Joining Sassuolo

Despite reviving their interest in the ex-Club Brugge star, Villarreal would only re-sign him on another loan.

On the other hand, Inter are preferring a permanent transfer.

Meanwhile, Sassuolo have recently joined the race, as they look to bolster their squad after securing Serie A promotion.

Though Buchanan would likely enjoy far better first-team chances at the Mapei Stadium, he’s reluctant to move to Emilia-Romagna.

Part of the reason is reportedly his fear of Armand Lauriente.

Indeed, the Frenchman is Sassuolo’s stalwart and an uncontested starter.

Therefore, Buchanan sees him as a formidable competitor for a starting berth.
