Inter Milan midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu is reportedly close to joining Galatasaray, with this week decisive for the transfer.
This according to Turkish outlet Fanatik, via FCInterNews. They report that the 31-year-old is pushing for the move, and the talks between the clubs have begun.
Galatasaray have been trying to sign Inter Milan midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu for the past few weeks.
The transfer rumours have proven to be quite disruptive for Inter.
For example, Nerazzurri captain all but called out Calhanoglu last week over the rumours.
The Argentine made comments to the media after Inter’s exit from the Club World Cup against Fluminense. He declared that “whoever wants to leave, leave.”
Inter Milan President Beppe Marotta has officially denied that Calhanoglu has handed in his transfer request.
However, according to Turkish outlet Fanatik, the 31-year-old has made his desire to leave clear.
Furthermore, Fanatik report,there have been some negotiations. Calhanoglu himself is the one who is trying to make the deal happen.
Fanatik note that Inter are still holding out for €30-35 million. Meanwhile, Galatasaray are still stuck at around €15 million.
However, reports Fanatik, this week should see a big jump forward in negotiations between the clubs.
