Inter Milan striker Mehdi Taremi has reportedly turned down a deal worth €3.5 million net per season from Flamengo.

This according to Brazilian outlet FCInterNews. They report that Leeds United are leading the race to sign the Iranian, who is also a target for Fulham.

Inter Milan striker Mehdi Taremi has been at the centre of a number of transfer rumours in recent weeks.

The 33-year-old had a very underwhelming first season at Inter. Therefore, there is a widespread feeling that he will be on his way after just one year at the club.

There have been plenty of clubs to show an interest in Taremi’s signature.

Botafogo have tried to bring the 33-year-old to Brazil.

Meanwhile, Turkish giants Bestikas have also been eyeing up a move for Taremi.

According to Brazilian outlet UOL, Botafogo are not the only team in Brazil to targeting Taremi.

Flamengo have also made an offer to Taremi.

The outlet report that the offer would have been for a contract worth €3.5 million net per season..

According to UOL, however, Taremi prefers to stay at a team in Europe.

Leeds United are in the race for the former Porto striker’s signature, the outlet report. However, Fulham are also keen.
