Inter Milan are unlikely to trigger the €50 million release clause of midfielder Nicolo Rovella at Lazio this summer.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
Inter Milan have reportedly taken an interest in Lazio midfielder Nicolo Rovella this summer.
The Italian international has emerged on the Nerazzurri’s shortlist of replacements for Hakan Calhanoglu in the event that the Turkish international is to leave the club.
Links between Calhanoglu and Galatasaray have led Inter to seek out an adequate solution in midfielder.
Nicolo Rovella has a release clause of €50 million at Lazio. Therefore, if Inter were to get serious about a move for the 23-year-old, they would know what they have to do.
However, as the Corriere dello Sport note, that release clause expires at the end of July.
And the newspaper anticipate that Inter are not likely to trigger the clause.
Meanwhile, Rovella himself is not pushing to leave Lazio by any means.
The former Juventus and Genoa midfielder feels that the Biancocelesti project is right for him. He is ready to stick around at the Stadio Olimpico, where he will be a key player under Maurizio Sarri.
