Report – Inter Milan Veteran Defender Could Join Simone Inzaghi At Al-Hilal

Inter Milan defender Francesco Acerbi could join forces with Simone Inzaghi in Saudi Arabia, with a move to Al-Hilal on the cards.

According to Tuttosport via FCInterNews, the 37-year-old could follow in his ex-manager’s footsteps this summer.

Simone Inzaghi will soon pen a two-year contract in Riyadh.

Indeed, he has already waved goodbye to San Siro and is ready to continue his managerial career in the desert.

Meanwhile, Francesco Acerbi could also sever ties with Inter after a heart-wrenching 2024/25 season.

Acerbi’s contract at Inter runs out in 2026.

However, the club can terminate his deal this summer, which would allow him to switch to Al-Hilal as a free agent.

Despite his impressive form for most of his Nerazzurri stint, Acerbi is in the autumn of his playing career.

Therefore, Inter wouldn’t stand in his way should he decides to go.

By contrast, they’ll do everything in their power to keep hold of Alessandro Bastoni and Nicolo Barella.

Both players have a host of admirers, yet the Italian giants are unwilling to negotiate their sales.
