Inter Milan teenager Francesco Pio Esposito continues to attract interest in Serie A, with Lazio joining the race to sign the ex-Spezia loanee.
Per Il Messaggero via FCInterNews, the Rome giants consider the 19-year-old a potential replacement for Taty Castellanos.
Despite cutting ties with Lazio in March 2024, Maurizio Sarri has returned to the club sooner than expected.
Furthermore, he plans to overhaul his squad and could put Castellanos on the chopping block.
With Castellanos’ future up in the air, Lazio have identified Francesco Pio Esposito as a potential target.
However, Sarri’s men have cast a wide net in pursuit of the Argentine’s successor.
Indeed, Mikel Oyarzabal and Giacomo Raspadori are also on Lazio’s radar.
Formerly linked with a move to Inter, Raspadori will likely wave goodbye to Napoli this summer.
Though he’d be a proven option for Lazio, Esposito remains a viable target amid an uncertain future at the San Siro.
Meanwhile, Inter could leverage the situation to broker a favorable deal for Nicolo Rovella.
