Reports are emerging that Napoli rejected the latest Galatasaray offer for Victor Osimhen, as it was worth €70m over five instalments, rather than €75m in two payments.
The negotiations continue to drag on, although it is no longer hurried by the deadline for the release clause, which has now passed.
It means Napoli are content to accept a similar sum of €75m and will allow it to be spread out, but not at the terms Galatasaray are proposing.
Multiple reports from Fabrizio Romano and Sky Sport Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio this evening suggest Napoli have rejected the latest offer because of two major problems.
The first is that the total sum is €70m and not the full €75m, the other that this would be paid over five instalments.
The Partenopei are looking for the payment in two instalments.
While Galatasaray have promised to provide the necessary letters of credit, Napoli want their lawyers to look over the full paperwork for these financial guarantees before giving the all-clear.
