Serie A heavyweights Inter Milan could reportedly reignite their interest in Roma midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini.
According to Matteo Moretto via TWM, extension talks between the club and the player remain at a standstill.
Despite becoming a symbol of Roma during his eight-year stint at Stadio Olimpico, Lorenzo Pellegrini could leave the club next summer.
Indeed, his contract runs out at the end of the season, with Roma unable to tie him down to a new deal.
According to Moretto, there are no ongoing talks between Roma and the 29-year-old playmaker.
Therefore, Pellegrini could wave goodbye to Roma in the summer of 2026.
Furthermore, he has fallen out of favor at the club, losing his starting berth under new boss Gian Piero Gasperini.
However, the Italian star scored a decisive goal in Roma’s 1-0 Derby della Capitale win over Lazio last weekend.
That could bring him back to the fans’ good graces and prompt the club to intensify contract discussions.
Yet, if that doesn’t happen, Inter could swoop in and lure him to San Siro next summer.
