According to Tuttosport newspaper, Nottingham Forest have intensified talks with the agent of Juventus midfielder Douglas Luiz, Kia Joorabchian, in recent days.
Premier League side Nottingham Forest have resumed their interest in Juventus midfielder Douglas Luiz.
The Brazil international is expected to leave Turin in the summer after a disappointing debut season with the Old Lady.
According to Tuttosport, Forest have recently intensified talks with the midfielder’s agent Kia Joorabchian, who is also on excellent terms with new Forest director Edu Gaspar.
Forest had already been linked with the ex-Aston Villa star in the January transfer window.
According to the report, Edu is a long-time admirer of Douglas Luiz and even wanted to bring the Brazilian to Arsenal in the past.
Tuttosport claims that Nottingham Forest are considering making an offer to sign the player on loan with an option to buy, but the Bianconeri will be pushing for an obligation to purchase the midfielder at the end of the season.
Douglas Luiz has failed to justify his €50m price tag in Turin this season, failing to produce a goal or an assist in 23 games across all competitions.
