PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma reportedly remains open to joining Inter Milan at the end of next season.
According to La Repubblica via FCInter1908, the Italian star has found Les Parisiens’ contract offer unacceptable.
Gianluigi Donnarumma has entered the final year of his deal at the Parc des Princes.
Therefore, time has become a factor for PSG, who are keen to tie the 26-year-old down to a new long-term contract.
However, their latest proposal has fallen short of Donnarumma’s expectations.
Donnarumma signed a lucrative €11.5 million net per season contract when he swapped AC Milan for PSG in 2021.
Yet, the perennial Ligue 1 champions had hoped to lower his wages.
As such, they’ve offered him a new deal worth around €8 million net per season.
However, Donnarumma has no intention of reducing his salary. Instead, he may try to use Inter’s interest as leverage to get better terms.
Aware of Donnarumma’s stance, Les Parisiens have already signed Lucas Chevalier from Lille for a reported fee of €40 million.
It could be a signal for the ex-Milan star to pack his bags, with the San Siro club waiting in the wings.
