Report: Real Madrid considering raising offer for Kylian Mbappe to €200 million

Real Madrid wants Kylian Mbappe, and the Paris Saint-Germain star wants Real Madrid. However, it's unclear if PSG will let him go this summer.

Real has already made an offer of €170 million plus €10 million in add-ons for Mbappe and is awaiting a response from The Parisians. However, Sky Sports reports the La Liga side is considering raising their offer to €200 million in the next few hours.

PSG sporting director Leonardo Araujo said last week, according to Fabrizio Romano of Sky Sports, that the club will not hold Mbappe back from joining Real Madrid, and if the conditions are met, then he could be transferred.

ESPN's Julien Laurens and Rodrigo Faez suggested Real would have to raise their bid to €200 million even to have a chance at landing the French international. Maybe that price tag will be enough to get a deal done.

Mbappe's contract at PSG expires next summer, and he has made it clear that he has no intention of renewing his contract with the club. If he doesn't join Real Madrid this summer, he almost certainly will next year.

With Mbappe likely off to Spain, PSG is now looking at several potential replacements for the striker as the transfer window closure approaches, including Borussia Dortmund's Erling Haaland, Bayern Munich's Robert Lewandowski and Everton's Richarlison.

The money used from Mbappe's sale would then be used to sign another top-flight player to join Lionel Messi, who recently agreed to a two-year deal with The Parisians.
