AC Milan and Inter Milan’s bid to build a new state-of-the-art venue in the San Siro area has received a pivotal boost.
According to Calcio e Finanza via FCInterNews, the Regional Administrative Court has ruled in their favor.
Indeed, the TAR reviewed the Meazza Committee’s appeal to suspend the sale process earlier today.
After a careful evaluation of the request, the judges rejected it, clearing the way for the sale.
Therefore, the redevelopment can move forward as planned, with the San Siro project destined for success.
With the Meazza Committee now out of the way, Milan and Inter can proceed with their plans.
Furthermore, confidence is at an all-time high following strong backing from Milan’s mayor, Beppe Sala.
The Serie A giants expect to complete the purchase of San Siro and the surrounding areas by the end of the month.
Indeed, July 31 is the target date for finalizing the deal.
As things stand, the city of Milan will soon have a stadium it deserves.
