Saudi club Neom have reportedly rivalled Inter Milan to sign Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Granit Xhaka this summer.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, via FCInterNews.

Inter Milan have been linked with Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Granit Xhaka in the last couple days.

Reportedly, the Nerazzurri have identified the Swiss international as a low-cost opportunity to replace Hakan Calhanoglu. They’re still wary of the possibility of losing Calhanoglu to Galatasaray.

Meanwhile, Xhaka has also reportedly been a target for a couple other Serie A clubs. The likes of AC Milan and Juventus have shown an interest in the former Arsenal midfielder.

Neom Rival Inter To Sign Granit Xhaka

However, Inter and teams in Serie A are far from the only ones with an interest in Xhaka’s signature.

Far from it, the Swiss international has also attracted interest from the Saudi Pro League.

Specifically, SportMediaset report, newly-promoted Saudi Pro League club Neom are keen to sign the former Arsenal midfielder.

Neom have in fact made a contract offer to Xhaka.

Therefore, the 32-year-old could decide to go with a move to the cash-rich Saudi league rather than continuing to play in Europe.
