This according to Italian transfer reporter Matteo Moretto, via FCInterNews. He reports that the young Nigerian midfielder is a target for the Tuscan to strengthen their squad for Serie A.
20-year-old midfielder Ebenezer Akinsanmiro spent last season on loan with Sampdoria.
The Nigerian joined the Ligurians on loan last summer. This is is first regular experience in senior football.
Akinsanmiro had previously impressed in Inter’s Under-19 or Primavera team. This had earned him some matchday squad appearances last season, and a cameo substitute appearance against Lecce.
Inter had beaten the likes of Real Madrid and Benfica to Akinsanmiro’s signature.
However, prior to this season the priority was to get Akinsanmiro regular playing time.
Therefore, Sampdoria emerged as the ideal destination for the 20-year-old to start finding his feet in the senior game.
Now, the question is where Akinsanmiro’s next destination will be.
