Inter Milan and Galatasaray have reportedly reached an impasse in negotiations over star midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu.

Per Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the Nerazzurri have informed the player’s agent, Gordon Stipic, of the transfer deadline.

Galatasaray’s interest in Hakan Calhanoglu is well-documented.

However, the Turks have proved reluctant to spend big to sign the 31-year-old, compromising the agreement.

Furthermore, they have until July 31 to meet Inter’s request.

Meanwhile, Inter’s stance is clear. They won’t sell their talismanic playmaker for less than €25 million.

Negotiations Between Inter Milan & Galatasaray for Hakan Calhanoglu Hit Brick Wall

With Galatasaray unwilling to exceed the €15m mark, the deal appears on the verge of collapse.

Despite Calhanoglu’s initial desire to leave, new Inter coach Cristian Chivu would be glad to keep the midfielder at San Siro.

Meanwhile, Inter will turn to Atalanta ace Ederson if Calhanoglu ends up leaving Serie A.

However, the Brazilian won’t cope cheap, with La Dea slapping a mammoth €60m price tag on his shoulders.

Palmeiras’ Richard Rios is another option, with Inter facing competition from Roma for the Colombian.

Nonetheless, everything rests on the former AC Milan star.
