Report: Tottenham could bring £35m-rated 'world-class' star back to the Premier League

Tottenham Hotspur are one of the clubs interested in signing the Juventus midfielder Douglas Luiz.

The Brazilian has been linked with a return to the Premier League, and multiple clubs are keeping tabs on him. According to a report from CaughtOffside, the midfielder will cost £35 million this summer, and Tottenham are considering a move for him.

Spurs need someone like Luiz

They need more quality and depth in the middle of the park, and the 27-year-old could be the ideal acquisition. Yves Bissouma is expected to leave Tottenham, and they need to replace him. Luiz could be the ideal acquisition. He will add control, composure, physicality, and defensive cover to the side. He has played his best football in the Premier League with Aston Villa, and he was labelled as a “world-class” player back then.

The reported asking price seems reasonable for a player of his quality and experience. He could justify the £35 million investment if he manages to regain his form and confidence.
