Report: Tottenham to compete with La Liga giants for €100m-rated Argentine ace

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing the Argentine defender Lautaro Rivero.

According to a report from Fichajes, they are tracking the progress of the 21-year-old central defender, and they will face competition from Atletico Madrid.

Lautaro Rivero could be an asset

The defender has €100 million release clause in his contract, and it is highly unlikely that any club would be willing to pay that kind of money for him.

There is no doubt that he is a tremendous talent with a bright future, but Spurs want to sign him for a reasonable amount of money. It will be interesting to see if they come forward with an offer to get the deal done. They need more depth in the defensive unit, and Rivero would be a long-term acquisition.
