Al-Hilal manager Simone Inzaghi reportedly continues to hold Inter Milan superstar Nicolo Barella in high regard.
According to Italian sources via FCInter1908, the ex-Nerazzurri boss refused to lodge a summer bid for Barella for another reason.
Nicolo Barella has become one of Europe’s most highly rated midfielders during his impressive career at San Siro.
Furthermore, he was a key midfield member during Inzaghi’s tenure.
Therefore, it’s no coincidence that Simone Inzaghi wanted to sign him after taking charge of Al-Hilal in June.
Several Premier League clubs were interested in signing the former Cagliari star during the summer.
However, Inter never considered the possibility of selling one of their most talismanic figures.
Meanwhile, Inzaghi is aware of Barella’s household status at San Siro.
Despite leaving Inter in controversial circumstances, the 49-year-old refused to cause further problems to his ex-club.
As a result, he decided against launching an offer for the diminutive midfielder.
Yet, that doesn’t change the fact that he still ‘adores’ him.
