Inter Milan will likely go to great lengths to recruit Atalanta stalwart Ederson in the coming weeks to replace Hakan Calhanoglu.
Per Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the Nerazzurri can realistically hope to sign the Brazilian on ‘favorable’ terms.
However, Atalanta’s substantial €60 million asking price is not a subject of debate.
Indeed, Inter will have to splash the cash to bring the Brazilian midfielder to San Siro.
Yet, Ederson’s salary may not burden the club’s wage bill as severely as one might expect.
Despite a hefty price tag, Ederson may not command significant wages.
Indeed, the player demands a €4m net per season.
With the Growth Decree in place, Inter would only pay €5.2m gross wages for the 25-year-old.
Meanwhile, the same rule allowed Salernitana to bring Ederson to Serie A a few years ago.
Since it applies to all players who moved into the country in 2023, Inter seem set to reap benefits.
Nonetheless, the Nerazzurri must agree terms with Atalanta before they can start making contract arrangements with the player.
