Hakan Calhanoglu could be back for Inter Milan’s Club World Cup last group stage match, whilst Yann Bisseck and Francesco Pio Esposito will be out until the group stage.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews.

Inter Milan are currently without a few players due to injury.

Midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu suffered a muscle problem during the Champions League final loss to Paris Saint-Germain.

Similarly, defender Yann Bisseck also sustained a thigh injury shortly after coming on as a substitute against PSG.

Then, striker Francesco Pio Esposito picked up a knee problem. This came about during Spezia’s Serie B playoff final against Cremonese, even though he played both legs.

Therefore, Pio Esposito has missed the Under-21 Euros with Italy. Rather, he has travelled to the United States as part of Inter’s Club World Cup squad.

When Calhanoglu, Bisseck & Pio Esposito Can Return For Inter At Club World Cup

First of all, reports Tuttosport, all of Calhanoglu, Bisseck, and Pio Esposito will miss Inter’s first couple group stage matches at the Club World Cup.

That means that the trio will all be absent against Monterrey and Urawa Red Diamonds.

Then, reports Tuttosport, there is a possibility that Calhanoglu could be available for Inter’s final group stage match. That will be against Argentine giants River Plate.

Meanwhile, Tuttosport continue, Bisseck and Pio Esposito will both miss the entire group stage.

However, both could be available for the knockout rounds. In the event that Inter make it that far.
