Roma could accept an offer from Inter Milan for Manu Kone in order to fund incoming business in attack.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper La Repubblica, via FCInterNews. They report that the Giallorossi are also targeting Monaco’s Soungoutou Magassa to replace Kone.
Inter Milan have identified Roma’s Manu Kone as a surprise target for the last couple weeks of the transfer window.
The Frenchman would be an option to bolster the Nerazzurri’s holding midfield ranks.
Inter have been chasing Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman for the last few weeks. However, with that pursuit still not bearing fruit, they are considering investing elsewhere.
And for Roma, there could be a particular impetus to cash in as La Repubblica note.
The Giallorossi still feel that there is a lot of work for them to do in the summer transfer window, with just over two weeks left to go before deadline day.
In particular, the capital club want to bolster the attacking options available to Gian Piero Gasperini.
There are two targets in particular that Roma are going after.
Firstly, there is Manchester United outcast Jadon Sancho. The Englishman has also been on the radars of Inter and Juventus this summer.
Furthermore, Roma also want to sign Roma winger Leon Bailey.
These two players from the Premier League won’t come cheap. Therefore, Roma could accept a sale of Kone as a sacrifice to bring these two signings within reach.
Furthermore, La Repubblica also note that Roma would aim to sign Monaco midfielder Soungoutou Magassa as a replacement if Kone leaves.
