PHOENIX — Phoenix Rising returns to USL Championship action and takes on the Orange County SC on Saturday, June 7.
Phoenix Preview
Rising defeated the Las Vegas Lights FC on May 28, 1-0. Noble Okello scored his second goal of the season, with Patrick Rakovsky keeping Las Vegas from getting a penalty kick in to tie late in the match. This was the first time this season that Phoenix had kept consecutive clean sheets and won three straight games in a row.
Phoenix is now 4-3-4 and fifth in the Western Conference.
Orange County Preview
Orange County comes off a win against the Colorado Switchbacks on May 29, 3-1. Chris Hegardt gave them the lead in the first half, with Cameron Dunbar and Mohamadou War adding on in the second. It was Hgardt’s and Dunbar’s first goals of the year.
Orange County sits at 4-5-1 and is seventh in the Western Conference.
