Marseille forward Jonathan Rowe has been temporarily excluded from the team alongside former Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot, as reports from France claim the two were involved in an altercation after Roberto De Zerbi’s side lost 1-0 in their season opener to Rennes on Friday.
According to reports from RMC Sport, the Marseille duo have been left out of the squad and will not train with their teammates after tempers boiled over following the loss.
Earlier today, reports from Italy claimed that Serie A clubs Roma and Bologna were both interested in signing Marseille’s Rowe. The England U21 international scored the winner at this summer’s European Championships and lit up Ligue 1 with some strong performances for De Zerbi’s team last season.
The reports suggested that a bid of €20 million could be enough to tempt Marseille to part ways with the Englishman and this new twist in the saga could further accelerate his departure from France.
