Roma made a late push to sign Argentine winger Benjamin Dominguez from Bologna, with reports from Argentina claiming that the Rossoblu rejected a bid from Gian Piero Gasperini’s side on deadline day.

According to what has been reported by Argentine transfer expert Cesar Luis Merlo on X, Roma made a proposal to Bologna of €10 million plus €2 million in bonuses.

However, Bologna had no intention of parting ways with the highly-rated winger and therefore rejected the Giallorossi’s proposal.

Bologna’s highly-rated Dominguez wanted by Roma

Roma had been linked with a late move for Dominguez and made their attempt with just hours left of the summer transfer window.

The 21-year-old only joined Bologna last summer, arriving in Italy from boyhood club Gimnasia LP in Argentina. In his first season in Italy, the winger played 28 times in all competitions, scoring four goals and helped the side lift the Coppa Italia, playing four times in the Rossoblu’s cup-winning run.
