Roma are in negotiations to send Evan N’Dicka to Olympique Marseille in exchange for midfielder Ismael Koné, claim Sky Sport Italia.

The Giallorossi are running out of time to raise funds and balance the books in time for the June 30 deadline or face Financial Fair Play penalties for a potential breach.

According to Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, a way of achieving this would also be to enact straight swaps.

Kone valued the same as N’Dicka

The plan is to give defender N’Dicka to Olympique Marseille and bring in midfielder Koné to the Stadio Olimpico.

Canada international Koné had experiences at Montreal Impact and Watford before the €12m move to Marseille in 2024.

He was loaned out to Stade Rennes six months later and they do not seem prepared to activate their option to make it permanent.

It is not the first time that he has been on the Roma radar.

As for N’Dicka, he is a 25-year-old Ivory Coast international who joined Roma as a free agent from Eintracht Frankfurt in 2023.
