Romano: Chelsea speak to agents of two strikers ahead of summer transfer window

Chelsea have reportedly spoken to two agents of strikers ahead of a potential move to sign one, or even two of them in the coming summer transfer window.

The striker position is going to be a priority for Chelsea in the summer window, and it looks like the club are weighing up all options in order to find the right one to bring in. You get a sense now that this is going to be the most important decision they make this summer and the one they need to 100% get right in order to push forward towards success again as a club and lead them back towards competing with the very best in the world again. The striker position to lead the line at Chelsea is going to be the most important position that they sign in this summer.

Nicolas Jackson is great, but he’s the only recognised striker at the club, and Chelsea absolutely need to sign another one, perhaps one who is more proven and will bang right away.

And according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea have now spoken to the agents of both Victor Osimhen from Napoli, and Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig, as he revealed on Mics Pod this weekend.

Sesko would represent a much cheaper option that Osimhen coming with a cheaper release clause. Osimhen would certainly break the bank for any club trying to sign him this summer, unless his club are willing to come down in price, which is massively unlikely of course.

Chelsea need to be smart this summer, because there are a few positions they need to sign in. I don’t think we should be splashing massive fees on single players. Although, according to claims this weekend, apparently Chelsea are now safe from PSR and FFP rules this summer so maybe they can continue to spend big!
