Enzo Fernandez is pushing to leave Chelsea but Moises Caicedo is happy to stay according to an update from Fabrizio Romano.
The news that Enzo Fernandez had opened the door for a potential move away from Chelsea’s isn’t just worrying because the Blues don’t want to lose the Argentine. It also feels like it could be a tipping point for the whole project, with one star following another out of the door.
The good news is that Moises Caicedo, Enzo’s fellow £100m midfielder and another keystone of the project is apparently not pushing to leave – not yet, anyway.
Fabrizio Romano spoke about the Ecuador star on his podcast this week.
“Moisés Caicedo really has this desire to be part of the Chelsea project. Really feels the love of Chelsea fans and Chelsea people. So there is a very good connection between Caicedo and Chelsea,” Romano said on Youtube,
“Caicedo believes in the Chelsea project. Don’t forget that he had the possibility to go to Liverpool when he joined Chelsea a few years ago, and now he still feels that there is more to win and more to do at Chelsea. So he wants to become a Chelsea legend.”
That’s comforting to hear. But what will be hearing in a year’s time if things don’t improve? That’s what we worry about.
