Fabrizio Romano reveals how Tottenham feels about Randal Kolo Muani and Joao Palhinha

Tottenham completed the loan signings of Randal Kolo Muani from PSG and Joao Palhinha from Bayern Munich, respectively. Both players have featured regularly for Spurs so far this season, with Palhinha starting in the midfield alongside Rodrigo Bentancur and Kolo Muani leading the attack.

Palhinha has adjusted well to Thomas Frank’s style of play, scoring 4 goals and providing 2 assists in 17 appearances, impressive numbers for a midfielder. Meanwhile, Kolo Munai has been battling injuries and has struggled to find his form. With other attackers, including Dominic Solanke, Dejan Kulusevski, and James Maddison, currently sidelined with injuries, Kolo Muani is the main No.9 for Spurs.

Reputed journalist Fabrizio Romano recently wrote an exclusive newsletter for GIVEMESPORT, where he confirmed that Spurs are content with Palhinha’s performance this season. He stated:

“Very happy. Palhinha adapted immediately very well.”

“Now, we’ve spoken about courage, now we can talk about quality. Palhinha hasn’t got the quality. For me, for a player playing in central midfield for Tottenham, that is a pass you have to be able to make. He can’t make it, so… he goes back. Listen to the boos. The only reason he does a clever turn on the ball is because of the boos. Otherwise, he’d have gone back to the goalkeeper.”

According to GIVEMESPORT sources, Tottenham are already planning to sign Palhinha on a permanent deal from Bayern Munich. As a part of the loan deal, Spurs have the option to make the transfer permanent for a fee of just £26 million, a bargain deal for a player of his caliber.

Speaking about Tottenham’s feelings about Kolo Muani, Romano wrote:

“Very happy with both. Kolo is now finding his form slowly after he didn’t have pre-season. But Spurs general feeling is positive with both.”

The Lilywhites have endured an inconsistent start to the season. They are currently unbeaten in the Champions League but stand sixth in t he Premier League. They signed Xavi Simons for a staggering £52 million fee from Bundesliga side RB Leipzig in the summer, but the 22-year-old is yet to find his form at N17. With injuries mounting, Tottenham will look to recruit more talent in the winter transfer window.

Does Randal Kolo Muani have a future at Spurs?

With a new attacker likely joining Spurs in January and several players eventually returning from injuries, Kolo Muani could drop behind in the pecking order if he fails to win the trust of Thomas Frank in the coming fixtures.
