Several Inter greats of the 1990s and 2000s gathered to celebrate the 80th birthday of former club President Massimo Moratti, including Ronaldo Nazario, Christian Vieri and Andrea Pirlo, while other Nerazzurri figures including Jose Mourinho have sent messages to their former boss.

Moratti took control of Inter in 1995 and remained in charge until 2013.

During that time, the team won five consecutive Serie A titles, four Coppa Italia trophies, four in the Supercoppa Italiana and one in the Champions League, a FIFA Club World Cup and an historic treble in 2010 that has not since been replicated by any Italian club.
