Lautaro Martinez and Stefan de Vrij delivered opposite performances in Inter Milan’s 4-0 rout of Royale Union SG last night.

According to Tuttosport via FCInterNews, the Argentine megastar was among the best players on the pitch.

Despite an underwhelming display against Roma, Lautaro Martinez continues to impress in the Champions League.

Indeed, the 28-year-old netted his 24th goal in Europe’s elite club competition yesterday.

As a result, he’s now the most prolific player in the Champions League this calendar year with 11 goals.

In stark contrast to Lautaro’s superb showing, Stefan de Vrij seemed up the creek without a paddle at Lotto Park.

His erratic form at the start of the game allowed the Belgians to create several promising chances in front of Yann Sommer.

However, Inter weathered the storm before Denzel Dumfries drew first blood late in the first half.

Furthermore, Cristian Chivu’s decision to replace De Vrij with Manuel Akanji at the start of the second half re-established confidence at the back.
