Rugby Borough officially sign Manchester United goalkeeper

Manchester United continue to reshape their goalkeeping department ahead of the 2026/27 season as the club prepare for another campaign at Old Trafford.

Senne Lammens enjoyed a remarkable debut season after arriving from Royal Antwerp last summer.

The Belgian established himself as United’s first-choice goalkeeper and was later named the Premier League Transfer of the Season following his outstanding performances.

Meanwhile, Andre Onana has officially joined Trabzonspor on loan this summer after also spending last season away from Old Trafford.

United have strengthened their options by signing experienced Wales international Karl Darlow on a free transfer.

The club also recently submitted a bid for Paraguay international Orlando Gill following his impressive performances at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Altay Bayindir is also expected to leave permanently before the transfer window closes as United continue to reshape the position.

However, another goalkeeper has now officially completed a move away from Manchester United.

Rugby Borough have officially announced the signing of Manchester United Women’s Under-21 goalkeeper Millie Crook.

The National League club confirmed the transfer through an announcement on their official Instagram account, welcoming the goalkeeper to the club.

Crook only confirmed her departure from Manchester United earlier this week after bringing an end to a decade-long association with the club.

The goalkeeper thanked United in an emotional farewell message and reflected on the memories she created during her ten years at Carrington.

She was regarded as one of the academy’s most respected players.

Last season, Crook received the Under-21s Club Values Award in recognition of the standards she consistently displayed on and off the pitch.

She had also previously been voted the Under-21s Players’ Player of the Year by her teammates.

Crook ended her Manchester United career by helping the Women’s Under-21 side lift the Professional Game Academy Plate following victory over Durham.

She will now begin the next chapter of her career with Rugby Borough as she looks to establish herself in senior football after leaving one of England’s leading women’s academies.
