As expected, Sassuolo have officially signed Poland international Sebastian Walukiewicz from Torino, on loan with option to buy at the end of the season.
The two clubs had shaken hands yesterday and he left the pre-season training camp to reach his new teammates.
He underwent a medical and put pen to paper on the contract this evening.
It is confirmed as a loan with option to make it permanent at the end of the season.
According to reports, Sassuolo are paying €1m for the one-year loan and a further €6-7m if they wish to buy.
Walukiewicz only joined Torino last summer from Empoli in a transfer worth €4.7m.
He has been in Italian football since coming to Cagliari in January 2019, also playing for Empoli and Toro.
The central defender has 10 senior caps for Poland, with one goal scored.
There had also been links with newly-promoted Cremonese this summer, but Sassuolo completed the transfer this evening.
