Mason Greenwood remains at the centre of the summer transfer window.

Fresh interest has emerged despite the former Manchester United forward already agreeing personal terms over a move elsewhere.

Greenwood recently accepted Fenerbahce’s contract offer, placing the Turkish giants in pole position to complete a deal after agreeing terms on a long-term contract.

However, the race for his signature is far from over.

Saudi clubs enter Greenwood race

According to Spanish outlet Diario AS, Saudi Arabian clubs have now entered the race to sign Mason Greenwood.

They join Atletico Madrid and Fenerbahce in pursuing the Marseille forward.

The report states that Greenwood has spent the summer focused on his family, alongside partner Harriet and their two children.

He has allowed those around him to handle discussions over his future.

Earlier today, we covered the news that Atletico Madrid had made a fresh attempt to hijack Greenwood’s proposed move to Fenerbahce after returning with an improved offer for Marseille.

Diego Simeone’s side remain determined to sign the 24-year-old.

The former United forward is understood to favour a return to Madrid after previously rebuilding his career during a successful loan spell with Getafe before joining Marseille permanently in 2024.

AS add that Saudi clubs are also prepared to compete for Greenwood’s signature.

They ensure that there are now multiple destinations under consideration before a final decision is made.

Mason Greenwood is believed to be using the off-season to prepare for what he hopes will be another strong season after impressing during his two seasons in Ligue 1.

United are continuing to monitor developments closely.

The Red Devils are due to receive a percentage of any transfer fee through the sell-on clause negotiated when Greenwood left Old Trafford.

Although Fenerbahce remain in a strong position after securing the player’s agreement, interest from Atletico Madrid and Saudi Arabia means one of the summer’s biggest transfer sagas is still not over.
