Clarence Seedorf has criticised the AC Milan ownership for making changes to the management that ruined the path the club was on.
In what was supposed to be a night that celebrated 125 years of Milan, the team were jeered off the field as they were unable to break down Genoa and were ultimately held to a 0-0 draw.
Paulo Fonseca’s comments after the game have generated headlines because he thought the team played well. The fans did not seem to agree, and at full-time there were very strong protests on display inside and outside San Siro.
The result means that the Rossoneri have not taken any strides towards the Champions League places and have actually dropped to eighth place in the table after Bologna’s win.
Seedorf was among those invited by the club to celebrate 125 years of history last night and he was interviewed by DAZN, with his comments relayed by Calciomercato.com.
“I saw Fonseca’s interview [the one after the match against Red Star], he was very emotional but he didn’t go over the top. It was a message that needs to be sent every now and then,” he said.
