The 32-year-old will reportedly earn around €5 million per season with his buyout clause set at €100 million.
Aguero heads to Barcelona after 10 years with Manchester City. His arrival comes as the club tries to lock up Lionel Messi to a contract. The signing of Aguero could convince Messi to stay as the two became friends during their time playing together for Argentina.
Aguero departs Manchester City as the club's all-time leading scorer with 260 goals in 390 matches. He made just eight starts in City's double-winning season and came off the bench in his last appearance during Saturday's Champions League final loss to Chelsea.
Barcelona reportedly have more signings in the works. Lyon's Memphis Depay is in talks with Barca, and Dutch midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum is also set to join the club on a free transfer from Liverpool.
