Juventus are ready to battle Napoli to sign Manchester United outcast Jadon Sancho to bolster their attack this summer window. The Englishman spent last season on loan to Chelsea and helped the London club secure next season’s Champions League qualification.

United and Sancho will try to part ways permanently for the second time this summer after his two loan moves. The 25-year-old’s exit plan started under the former manager Erik ten Hag when the two infamously had a public spat.

Throughout his tenure with the Red Devils, Sancho had issues with off-field behaviour that also hurt his on-field United performances. Under Ruben Amorim, the 25-year-old remains an outcast as the Portuguese wants to right all the wrongs of the past.

Sancho joined United from Borussia Dortmund for £73m after enjoying an incredible rise in reputation in Germany as a youngster. Nevertheless, the 25-year-old’s potential remains unfulfilled as he is reaching the prime years of his career, needing a stable environment.

At Chelsea, Sancho triggered the obligation to buy clause for a payment of up to £25 million for his services. However, the London giant opted to pay the £5 million penalty instead, after failing to meet his astronomical wage demands.

According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Juventus are ready to challenge Napoli for the signature of United outcast Sancho. As reported before, Napoli are demanding €25 million (£21.3m) for the 25-year-old, but his wage demands remain a concern.

Despite his struggles with consistency, Sancho is not lacking suitors this summer, but the Englishman needs to lower his wage demand. Earlier this summer, we reported that AC Milan and the Saudi Pro League’s Al-Hilal are also interested in his services.

  • Tottenham boss’s involvement forces Manchester United to rush £60m deal
  • It is mutually beneficial for both Sancho and United to part ways, and the 25-year-old needs to focus on regaining his international stature. With the World Cup next summer, Sancho still has a chance to regain his place with the national team. The Englishman should take the pay cut and find stability, instead of facing uncertainty and causing harm to the Manchester giant in the process.
