Sevilla are reportedly keen on a deal to sign Napoli’s Argentine forward Giovanni Simeone.
The 28-year-old has a contract which expires next summer and SkySport report that Antonio Conte’s side may be willing to cash in on the player this summer.
The reports suggest that Sevilla’s new head coach Matias Almeyda wants to bring Simeone to Spain, having worked with the player at Banfield back in 2015.
However, at this stage it is just interest and formal negotiations are yet to begin for the Argentine.
Giovanni Simeone signed for Napoli on loan in 2022 with the club exercising their option to buy the player the following year.
Since his arrival in Naples, Simeone has scored two goals and assisted two in 33 Serie A appearances. In all competitions, the former Fiorentina man scored 14 and assisted four in 103 games for the club.
Simeone also has six appearances for the Argentina national team, making his debut in September 2018 and scoring one goal for the country.
