Sevilla have officially confirmed the departures of two former Manchester United players as preparations for the 2026/27 campaign continue across Europe.
Manchester United have already overseen significant squad changes this summer.
Casemiro and Jadon Sancho among the six players released following the conclusion of the 2025/26 season.
Several former Red Devils are now also seeing their futures resolved elsewhere.
According to an official statement published on the Sevilla website, seven senior players have left the Spanish club following the expiry of their contracts on July 1.
The departing players are Orjan Nyland, Cesar Azpilicueta, Batista Mendy, Nemanja Gudelj, Adnan Januzaj, Alexis Sanchez and Neal Maupay.
Among those leaving are former Manchester United attackers Alexis Sanchez and Adnan Januzaj.
Alexis Sanchez only arrived at Sevilla last summer after the club reached an agreement with Udinese for the experienced Chile international.
As previously reported by Centre Devils, Sevilla turned to the veteran forward in search of leadership and proven quality in attack.
The 37-year-old featured 30 times during the recently concluded campaign, scoring four goals.
Sanchez enjoyed hugely successful spells with Barcelona, Arsenal and Inter Milan before joining Manchester United in January 2018 as part of a swap deal involving Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
However, injuries and inconsistency prevented him from making the desired impact at Old Trafford, where he scored five goals in 45 appearances.
Meanwhile, Januzaj’s four-year stay in Andalusia has also come to an end.
Once regarded as one of Manchester United’s brightest academy talents, the Belgian burst onto the scene under David Moyes during the 2013/14 season.
Januzaj later rebuilt his career at Real Sociedad after loan spells at Borussia Dortmund and Sunderland failed to reignite his progress.
His time at Sevilla included loan spells with Istanbul Basaksehir and Las Palmas, while injuries regularly disrupted his opportunities in the first team.
The 31-year-old made 30 appearances during his Sevilla career before officially departing the club this week.
Sevilla thanked all seven departing players for their professionalism and commitment, while wishing them success in the next stage of their careers.
