Simone Inzaghi wants to bring former Inter Milan midfielder Salvatore Esposito to Al-Hilal.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They also report that Palermo are eyeing up a move for the 24-year-old.
Midfielder Salvatore Esposito has been at Spezia in Serie B since January of 2023. He made the move from SPAL.
Esposito had previously been an Inter youth academy player, coming up and playing for the Nerazzurri at various levels. However, he decided to join SPAL for more playing time in 2018.
According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, Salvatore Esposito could be on the move this summer.
The 24-year-old is a target for Al-Hilal, the newspaper anticipate.
Coach Simone Inzaghi has joined the Saudi Pro League club. He arrived at the start of June, having stepped down from the Inter Milan bench after the Champions League final.
And Inzaghi will certainly be wanting to put his stamp on the squad.
Therefore, the Gazzetta report, Esposito has become a target for the Saudi club.
In the meantime, however, Palermo are also pushing to sign Salvatore Esposito. The Gazzetta report that Simone Inzaghi’s brother Filippo also wants to bring the midfielder in.
