Reported by BBC Sport, the horse L’eau Du Sud, owned by Ferguson, secured third place in the Queen Mother Champion Chase during day two of the festival.

The race itself was won by Il Etait Temps, ridden by jockey Paul Townend and trained by Willie Mullins, who enjoyed another successful day at the prestigious meeting.

Despite not claiming victory, Ferguson’s runner still secured a notable podium finish in one of the headline races of the festival.

The Cheltenham Festival remains one of the most significant events in the horse racing calendar.

It is known to attract owners, trainers and spectators across the sporting world.

Ferguson has long maintained an interest in the sport and regularly attends major meetings.
