Sir David Beckham is one of many Manchester United legends to remain in public life following his retirement from playing the game.

The now 50-year-old, who was recently approached in a potential Manchester United takeover bid, was awarded a knighthood earlier this year in King Charles III’s Birthday Honours list before being officially was knighted early in November.

Furthermore, following this, Sir David Beckham was named as a part of a line-up that would take part in the RHS Chelsea Flower Show next year with Beckham turning his love for gardening into something meaningful for the show.

But, away from flowers, the former United player has also been spotted at events such as Formula One Grand Prix.

Now, at the latest of these in Qatar, Sir David Beckham has given his assessment on Ruben Amorim’s reign at Manchester United so far.

Speaking to Sky Sports prior to the race in Qatar, Beckham stated: “I think there’s signs of the manager turning things around.

“He’s tweaked a few things and we are coming into a few better results but there’s still a long way to go and there’s still a few games that we’re not playing as we all like to see.

“But I think we’ve got a good manager there and he’s changing things slowly.”

With Beckham’s assessment handed out, attention could turn to see if Ruben Amorim acknowledges the United legend’s opinions.

Furthermore, attention could also turn to see if Beckham makes any further statements about Amorim should United enter periods of bad form in the coming weeks and months.

But, for now, with United facing West Ham United in the coming days, attention could be primarily on Manchester United for a continuation of the good form shown recently.
