Sir David Beckham continues to attract attention from the media as he continues his work on a number of projects across a range of areas.

Beckham, who has not played football in nearly 13 years, has been actively involved in Inter Miami’s operations with the club striving to succeed in Major League Soccer season after season.

The 50-year-old has also remained involved with football in England with him, alongside Gary Neville, selling Salford City recently.

He has also given his assessment on Ruben Amorim’s reign at Manchester United, which ended in January following a series of disputes, whilst also participating in a documentary paying tribute to former United legend Mark Hughes.

Looking more personally, Sir David Beckham has been busy in the housing market with him selling a home worth £21.3 million whilst also being entered into a legal dispute over his £12 million property in Oxfordshire.

Now, Beckham has entered another round of complaints with his latest plan to install the festooned lighting around the pond at their home in Great Tew near Chipping Norton being condemned by the surrounding neighbors.

Speaking to the BBC, neighbour James Worthington commented that the plans were “more akin to Miami or Florida not Great Tew.”

He went onto add that “if I am not amiss, this pond ‘lake’ is in the countryside in a rural setting.

“Festooned lighting hanging along a ‘proposed bridge’… spotlights, is this really Great Tew or have I mistaken this area for Blackpool?

“If the applicants want to live in suburbia, then why come to an area like Great Tew?”

Worthington also stated that the lights could be “a source of annoyance to people” and may be “harmful to wildlife” whilst also potentially undermining the “enjoyment of the countryside or the night sky.”

Focus may now shift towards Sir David and Lady Beckham to see if they respond to these comments in any way.
